Sebastian Tornatore

Sebastian Tornatore started Tornatore Law, LLC to meet the growing legal needs of his local community in Fairfield County, Connecticut.   A lifelong resident of the area, Sebastian most values his role as counselor — helping his clients through difficult times and complex decisions.

Prior to founding the firm, Sebastian spent eight years practicing with a prominent securities class action litigation firm.  He now brings the same creativity, work ethic, and resolve that helped recover millions of dollars for injured plaintiff-shareholders to Tornatore Law’s clients.

Sebastian received his B.A. in Political Science from Boston College and his law degree from the University of Connecticut School of Law, where he was an Executive Editor of the Connecticut Law Review. Sebastian is admitted to practice law in the states of Connecticut and New York, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and the Federal District Courts for the Districts of Connecticut, Massachusetts, the Southern District of New York, and the Eastern District of New York.

Betsy Tornatore

Betsy Tornatore grew up in Austin, Texas, and received her B.A. in Government from The University of Texas at Austin before moving to Connecticut to attend to the University of Connecticut School of Law. Following law school, Betsy worked in international human rights, partnering closely with attorneys in Afghanistan, Nepal, the West Bank, Tunisia, and other developing countries, before transitioning closer to home as legal and operational support for Dalio Philanthropies in Westport, Connecticut. Now Betsy puts the same heart and drive into helping Tornatore Law’s community of clients, and especially enjoys the opportunity to help clients feel comfortable—and not overwhelmed—with the legal process.

At the University of Connecticut School of Law, Betsy received her law degree and a Graduate Certificate of Human Rights Law, and was an Editor of the Connecticut Public Interest Law Journal. Betsy is admitted to practice law in the State of New York and the State of Connecticut.

What services does Tornatore Law offer?

We want to be your personal lawyer, your family lawyer, your local business lawyer, and your counselor-at-law. And if we can’t handle an issue in-house, we have longstanding relationships with expert attorneys throughout Connecticut and can help connect you to the right representative, even if it isn’t us.

Who are the attorneys at your firm?

We are a husband-and-wife team with deep roots in Connecticut and many years of legal expertise to put to work for you. Sebastian was born and raised in Norwalk, and Betsy is a transplant from Austin, Texas. We met while students at the University of Connecticut School of Law, and after graduating we practiced with multi-state and multi-national organizations for more than a decade before founding Tornatore Law. We are proud to have established our family, home, and law firm in Norwalk, where we are grateful to have the opportunity to help strengthen and support our community. Visit the About Us page to learn more about our background and skills.

Do you offer free consultations?

Yes. Call our office at 203-928-8082, or fill out our online contact form.

What are your billing rates?

If you’re worried about hiring a lawyer who runs up their hours just so they can bill you more—don’t be. While our rates may vary depending on your issue’s specific circumstances and the services provided, most of our real estate, estate-planning, and business administration services are billed at a flat per-transaction rate. For personal injury, workers’ compensation, class action, and other matters we offer competitive rates and billing structures that will meet your specific needs. And rest assured, all fees will be discussed at the start of our relationship.

What should I expect once I get in touch?

The first step is our free initial consultation. From there, we will make a plan that is suited to your specific needs, and we will be in regular communication throughout the process. See our Practice Area pages for more specific information based on your type of issue or transaction.
